Outcome of trees and views engagement
Following the public engagement survey that closed on 7th December, and in response to public feedback, The Trust has decided to adopt Proposal B – not to undertake a significant reduction to the lime tree, at this time.
Unless there is unexpected tree loss, within a few years St Paul’s will no longer be visible from the park, changing the unique views of the London skyline for which Waterlow Park is famous and that can act as a deterrent on planning applications for high rise buildings. For this reason the Trust will continue to monitor and may revisit the issue, while keeping the public informed.
